Becketts bar is located on Bohermore a short walk from Eyre Square. It was completely rebuilt a few years after the previous Pub, Walshes was knocked down.

Becketts is bright and spacious with lots of open floor space. There is a large focus on food here with an extensive lunch and evening menu as well as a separate Sunday dinner menu. The menu is a wonderful mix of traditional Irish food and some exotic foreign dishes combining to form a menu that stands up well to any restaraunt in Galway City. A Sri Lankan head chef ensures that Becketts will continue to raise the bar in terms of diversity in Galway pub food. Definately worth a visit for the food alone.
