Late Bar Tuesday to Sunday 

A fairly recent addition to the Galway Pub scene, Massimo has much to recommend it. Situated in the west end of Galway City it has a stylish spacious interior with lots of comfortable seating and even a small dance floor. There is also a very nice partially covered smoking area at the rear of the pub. However it is the small extra touches that really make this place something special. The men’s toilets feature urinals modelled after red lips and also have an usual Dyson hand dryer. They walls also feature some funky artwork and a fish tank completes the unique feel here.

The crowd here caters mostly to the 20-35 age bracket and is a good place to meet members of the opposite sex. You can catch good live music here most nights with a salsa night on Tuesdays and No Banjo playing on Wednesday nights. Open until 2am Tuesday through Saturday it gets busy late on as people leave some of the other earlier closing pubs in the area.

Food is also served here during the day. Its good value and the portions are large. Free wireless internet access is also available so it’s a good place for a working lunch.

Massimo is well worth a visit day or night.
