If any pub in Galway could be described as old school, then the Old Forge is it. This is a pub, social club and community centre all rolled into one.If your Granny likes a drink then you might just find her in here.

The large open plan interior has a homely feel and there is always a friendly welcome from the bar staff. This is the sort of place where snacks like sandwiches and sausages are given out nightly and occasionally cheese which goes surprisingly well with a pint of Guinness.

I have also been reliably informed that the owners keep track of a large number of their regular customers birthdays and never fail to have a present ready on the big day.

The Old forge is a true locals pub where if you are not from these parts you are guaranteed  to turn heads but  it wont take long to settle in. Not everyones cup of tea but dont knock it until you have Tried it.
