This landmark premises at the end of Mainguard Street is known by many names but is known by many locals as Myles Lee. It also encompasses the next door premises known as An Tobar. The Dew Drop comprises of two rooms, one with a small bar and the second a comfortable seating area and open fire. An Tobar is larger and open plan with a long bar. The old style interior is brightly decorated which adds a lot of character. This is undoubtedly one of Galway’s most comfortable pubs. Special mention must go to their smoking area at the back of the pub which is one of the best in the City due to being heated, filled with comfortable seats and well covered for those rainy nights. There is also an often overlooked upstairs room which can be a great place to secure some seats even on the busiest of nights. The Dew Drop is particularly popular for watching live sporting events on its many screens. There is always a crowd here but it gets incredibly busy from Thursday to Sunday. On Sunny days they have a seating area outside on Mainguard Street.
A Pub Guide favourite.
