Blu was a tiny bar tucked away on the busiest thoroughfare in Galway City. One of the smallest pubs in the City, Blu is a comfortable bar with lots of leather couches and the absence of any windows gives it an underground feeling. Although a quiet venue at night, Blu is a personal daytime favourite for us due to its value for money toasted sandwiches and hot drinks which are simple but well prepared.
Blu was once known at "The Snug" which had a bright red doorway.
Blu is connected through its smoking area to Garavans Pub and also shares a fairly primitive mens toilet with Garavans. Eagle-eyed observers will also spot some Medieval windows and arches in the smoking area and at the back of Blu.
