This premises has been home to many bars over the years but the name above the door now is "The Ol' 55". Located on Prospect hill a short walk from Eyre square, the interior has been tastefully decorated in an antique pub style with partitions along the bar counter. The staff are seasoned and friendly. Due to its location out of the main pedestrian zone the customers here are mostly locals or those who have come for one of the many music gigs. The Ol' 55 is aiming to be a friendly local in the heart of a City and it fits the bill perfectly with a good selection of drinks, friendly staff and music throughout the week. Definitely worth a visit.
